Instructions for when you have access to the PDF
If you have the PDF of the article downloaded to your computer, you can easily add the file to RefWorks without exporting from an individual database. Follow the instructions below to add your PDF to RefWorks.
1. Download the PDF you would like to add to RefWorks. Be sure to save this article into a folder that you know how to access in the future. It is a good idea to keep your PDFs in the folder just in case something happens.
2. Open RefWorks.
3. Select the plus symbol in RefWorks, then select "Upload Document."
3. Select your file.
4. If you notice any errors in the citation information of the file, you can make corrections by selecting the item and then clicking on the pencil icon in the upper right-hand corner.
