Evidence-Based Practice

Evidence-Based Practice refers to the process where the practitioner combines well researched interventions with clinical experience and ethics, client preferences and culture to guide and inform the delivery of treatments and services (Social Work Policy Institute).

According to Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, there are six tasks are involved in evidence-based practice. Steps include identifying a problem, researching the literature, critiquing the evidence, formulating recommendations, implementing practice changes and evaluation.
