This research and note-taking tool enables you to create outlines, annotate, cite, and share your work.

What is PowerNotes?

PowerNotes is an easy to use research and note-taking program that enables you to:

  • Highlight text on any website, take notes, and drop the content into your own research topics with a click.
  • Save links to all your sources so you’ll never forget where you found that perfect quote.
  • Organize materials through a structured outline created for you as you conduct your research.
  • See your progress as you add topics, find resources, and make annotations.
  • Export/Download your projects (including annotations and citations) to Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel. 

Creating Your Account

Creating your PowerNotes account is easy! Simply follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1: Install and enable the PowerNotes Google Chrome or Firefox Extension and then open https://powernotes.com.

  • You must use Google Chrome or Firefox.

Step 2: Create a free account using your Southern Adventist University email address.
