This episode of the Green Interview features Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and the first elected Green Party Member of Parliament in Canadian history, representing the riding of Saanich-Gulf Islands in British Columbia. A lifelong environmental activist and a lawyer, May has been a leader in the environmental movement since she was a teenager, when she was part of a successful campaign to stop aerial insecticide spraying near her home on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Prior to her foray into politics she served for 17 years as the Executive Director of the Sierra Club of Canada. She is also the author of seven books. She talks here about the critical environmental issues of our times and her new world in politics.
