Careers, Calling, & Jobs: Career, Calling, & Jobs

Career, Calling, & Jobs

This guide includes a collection of recommended books, films, and online resources on careers, calling, and jobs. For Southern Adventist University students, you have specific access to campus resources to help you prepare for the job search and write your resume and cover letter.

  • Career Services: As part of the Student Success Center at Southern Adventist University, the role of Career Services is to provide information, thoughtful dialogue, and assistance as you consider your career path, whether you’re a Southern student, employee or graduate. We offer career counseling, which may include various assessments, as well as assistance with resumes, cover letters, and interviewing.
  • Calling and Career: The phrase "discover your calling" mainly places the emphasis on the destination, not the journey. Learn more about calling from Southern's Calling and Career resource page.
  • Writing Center: The Writing Center provides free writing support to any member of the Southern community. The Writing Center Director, Dr. Sonja Fordham, works with students individually on resumes and cover letters. Appointments are highly recommended.
