Did you know that November is National Picture Book Month? Picture books are often categorized as children's works only, however picture books are not just for kids! These enchanting works of literary art enable the reader, no matter the age, to connect with a topic in an approachable, easy to digest way. "Picture books are...one of the literary world’s great pleasures" (Paul, New York Times). We invite you to spend time this week reading a picture book and sharing it with a family member or friend.
Already an avid picture book reader? Challenge yourself to read books about other cultures and ethnicities, or in a different genre. Don't forget to invite your family to participate in the fun!
