Dale Jacobson Art Exhibit

A collection of works by artist Dale Jacobson is currently on exhibit. The artwork is located on both the first and second floors of McKee Library. The works will be on exhibit January 28 through June 28, 2019. 

Dale Jacobson is an Adjunct Professor in the Mathematics Department at Southern.  He holds a BS in Physics, an MA in Education, an MS and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering. Professor Jacobson has taught Physics and Mathematics and Glendale Academy and at Blue Mountain Academy.  He was also the vice-principal at Glendale Academy.  

He was a mass properties engineer on the Stealth Fighter Prototype Project at Lockheed Aircraft.  Dr. Jacobson was a research physicist at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ for 23 years.  He spent 10 years at SemEquip, Inc. as Chief Scientist and Chief Operating Officer.  SemEquip was a hi-tech company in the integrated circuits fabrication capital equipment arena in the Greater Boston Area.  He has been interested in the art, science, and technology of photograph for more than 60 years.  

As a working scientist he traveled extensively around the world and always took his camera with him.  Many of the photographs in this exhibit were taken while he was traveling on business.
