I do not remember how to add documents into Mendeley, create a group folder, complete my annotations, and/or use the Mendeley Microsoft Word Plug-in. What can I do?

Mendeley desktop keeps crashing, what can I do to fix it?
First, sign-out of Mendeley (select sign-out under File on the menu) and close Mendeley completely. Then, open the desktop client and sign back in using your username and password. Next, be sure that you have the most recent version of the client. You can do this by selecting "Help" and "Check for Updates."

Mendeley has an error message at the top of the desktop client.

Help, my professor cannot see my annotations and notes in the group folder!
It is imperative that you complete all of your annotations and notes within the group folder. If you do your work in your "My Library" folders, then move the documents into the group folder, your professor will not be able to see any of your annotations and notes. All annotations must be completed in the group folder.
If you completed your annotations in the group folder, sign-out of Mendeley (select sign-out under File on the menu) and close Mendeley completely. Then, open the desktop client and sign back in using your username and password.
Lastly, make sure that you have added your professor to your group folder by selecting the "members" tab within the group folder. If your professor is not listed, enter his/her email address in the "Invite People..." text box.
I completed my annotations and notes in "My Library" instead of the group folder, how do I make it so that my professor can see my work?
With your documents in the group folder, go over your existing annotations and highlight the document again. Then, duplicate the notes by copying the text and create a new note beside your existing one. You will personally see two notes, but your professor will only see one.
My professor is not able to see my documents in the group folder.
First, be sure that you have created a private group and not a public group. To check, go into your group folder and select "Edit Settings." Under the "Membership" area, it should state, "This is a Private Group." If it says it is a public group, you will need to create a new, private group following the guidelines found here under step step three. Next, invite your professor to join the new group. Then, move the documents from your "Public" group into the newly created "Private" group. Last, delete the "Public" group.
