Room moderators are responsible for:
Making sure the computer/projector is on in the presentation room and helping students to get their presentations loaded onto the room’s presentation computer
Welcoming attendees to the session and maintaining order throughout the session
Keeping time for the presenters
Handing out certificates at the end of the session
The most challenging piece of this for most of us is dealing with the computer/projector in the room. It seems like nearly every room on campus is just a little bit different in its technology installation, so I highly recommend that you visit the room prior to the event to make sure you are familiar with the equipment. If there are problems with the technology in your room, please let me know and I will take appropriate actions to make sure it is functioning properly.
